Ambiance

From the very beginning, Mangia Bene was designed to make you feel like you are walking into a comfortable Italian home, joining friends and family for a relaxed, casual meal.

The warm colors of the walls, brickwork, wood and tile flooring and Venetian details are reminiscent of the trattorie and homes of Northern Italy the owners know so well! Though we have expanded a few times since we opened in 2004 (ask to see our photo album!), maintaining the atmosphere has been one of our primary goals.
Our walls are decorated with the art & photography of talented local artists, (including Claudio’s work!) like Peter & Ann Gommers, and John Ventresco (see the Italian Ladies photograph). Many of the pieces are for sale, so just ask for information if anything appeals to you!

We have gotten to know many of our frequent customers quite well over the years, and feel like they have become part of our extended family! We look forward to the Mangia Bene family growing as time goes on…

Now Mangia Bene has become a Mansfield favorite, serving up classic Northern Italian fare in a relaxed setting. Our casual cafe provides diners an unhurried meal with friends in one of our three cozy rooms or our street cafe. Mangia Bene is located in the heart of downtown Mansfield. Come by and enjoy a wide selection of menu items that bring out the best of your host's Italian heritage. And don’t forget to bring along your favorite wine!

Other things you should know…

Mangia bene originally opened as an Italian specialties retail shop and deli. Though we have evolved into a full service restaurant, we still offer a selection of imported Italian goodies! Our retail section offers wonderful cookies, pastas, extra virgin olive oils, and more. We also offer imported meats and cheeses, which can be pre-ordered for special occasions, or sliced to order while you wait. We use ONLY authentic Prosciutto di Parma, along with Parmiggiano Reggiano and Grana Padano cheeses, among others… so they are always available for our customers to take home. If there are any Italian products you are looking for, and cannot find, please ask. We always try to accommodate special requests through our specialized suppliers.
